current opportunities at Hope – paid and unpaid

Current Opportunities – paid and unpaid

Paid work

Any vacancies at Hope are advertised here and on Indeed and announced in our social media.

With regard to pay, the term PRO-RATA is used on our adverts. This means the actual sum paid reflects the number of hours worked as compared to the rate paid for full time. So if we say the full time rate is £25ooo, but you only work half time, then the salary paid is proportionate or pro-rata to that, ie half. If you are still unclear, contact us in advance so we can explain it to you.

Winter bank Staff

We will be opening for longer this winter. Probably 1-8, seven days a week, if we get enough staff and volunteers. We will need people to help in the day centre as paid bank staff. You will need a little experience, perhaps volunteering or as a student on a relevant course; you will be working as part of a team in the day centre, helping befriend service users, serve drinks and snacks, keep the centre tidy, assess people’s needs.

Enhanced support workers  Full time, up to £23k per annum, helping homeless people overcome issues of mental health and addiction, and move towards employability. JD and PS   HERE

RE-ADVERTISEMENT   Veterans support worker

Part time, two days a week, salary pro-rata to full time rate of £22k; a caring, committed worker in Hope’s day centre to focus support on those who have served in the armed forces, both in the UK and those in other countries.
