I moved to Northampton in 2019, didn’t know anyone, and wanted something to do.
I work at the Larder on a Friday morning. We organise the food, help customers do their shopping, and have a chat.
For some people, it’s an event to come out of the house, so some come to chat and feel a part of the community. I love the food larder because we are that step before someone could become homeless.
If giving them some food to help them spend their money elsewhere, then it’s preventing something worse. That’s what I love about it.
