Winter Night Shelter Opens

Around the Clock Support

We are please to announce we have opened a temporary winter shelter to support the vulnerable street homeless during the winter months.

Our winter shelter opened its doors on the 6th of January at the same time as the temperature plummeted to below freezing. Our winter shelter provision is coupled with an extended service at our Homeless Centre which means we are able to provide 24 hour support.

People can register for support at our Homeless Centre where we are now open for extended hours. We provide daily hot drinks, breakfast, a hot freshly cooked meal for lunch and a hot soup in the early evening. We also provide showers, a clothing washing and drying service, clean clothes and personal care items, along with the help we offer with mental health, debt management and housing advice.

Our winter shelter will save lives and will provide critical support whether SWEP (Severe Weather Emergency Protocol) is activated or not, throughout the cold winter months. We are committed to supporting the homeless community and we believe our shelter and extended services provision will provide critical and life saving support to the most vulnerable this winter.

Our Winter Shelter has only been possible through support from West Northamptonshire Council, our dedicated volunteer network, and financial donations from local businesses and the local community.

Support us:

We desperately need your help to maintain our services. It will take collaboration from businesses and individuals alike to help us keep people safe this winter and throughout the year. Financial donations are critical at this time as we have to pay for our ongoing running costs.

Regular Donations:

Could you help us by making a small regular donation each month to help us maintain our services? Just £10 a month could help us provide overnight shelter for someone facing a night on the streets in freezing conditions.

To make a regular donation, click on the link below, choose the amount you with to donate, and select the donation frequency to ‘monthly’.
