A Little Help Each Month, a Life Built Forever
At the Hope Centre, we’re dedicated to supporting people facing homelessness, hardship, and hunger. Every day, we work to ensure that no one faces these struggles alone. But we need your help to continue making an impact, your regular donations will make a difference.
Homelessness is a crisis that demands immediate action. Our homeless centre, ‘Hand Up’, is open six days a week, offering essentials like warm clothing, blankets, and sleeping bags. As well as providing critical crisis support, such as access to bank accounts, housing advice and referrals, benefits advice, settled status support, and mental health and addiction support. Each day, an average of 65 individuals rely on us for breakfast, hot drinks, and a warm meal – often the only sustenance they have.
Our approach goes beyond crisis support. Once trust is established, our team works closely with individuals to understand their unique circumstances and help them transition into secure accommodation. Alongside attending to practical needs, we adopt a holistic strategy, empowering people to regain their independence. Through workshops, community projects, and our 3-day community shop for those in hardship which is open Tuesday – Thursday, we foster resilience and provide long-term support.
Regular Giving
Every single day, it costs £1,000 to keep Hand Up running and maintain the services that saves lives. Your regular donations ensure that we can continue this vital work. Here’s how your contributions can help:
£7 can provide an emergency food parcel.
£12 can pay for 15 breakfasts at our homeless centre.
£30 can buy a weekly essentials food box for a family in need.
£50 can pay for a 1.1 specialist counselling session for someone in crisis.
£100 can support an individual on a pathway to employment.
Where your money goes
Regular donations are critical to sustaining our homeless centre and community services, such as Hope In The Community. These programs support individuals recently housed by teaching vital life skills to prevent them from falling back into homelessness. We also extend help to anyone facing hardship, isolation, or the challenges of substance recovery. Together, these efforts form our prevention strategy, reaching thousands in the wider community and creating lasting change.
Make a Regular Donation Today
