Grow, Cook, Eat

Supporting People

Grow! Cook! Eat!

The Grow! Cook! Eat! project is a public health initiative that promotes gardening and cooking within communities — empowering people to grow their own food, cook nutritious meals, and share skills locally.

The Hope Centre works in partnership with Community Health-Works UK CIC and Garden Organic, in collaboration with West Northamptonshire Council.

The project aims to improve community health by providing training and practical skills to ‘Community Champions,’ who then share their knowledge with others.

Hope Community Projects

Strengthen Communities

This project equips communities with the knowledge and skills to champion low cost growing and cooking. Guidance, support and funding is available to community organisations to set up projects.

Community Champions

Champions are selected from the community organisation to become an expert in growing and cooking food. Champions become part of an extensive ‘train the trainer’ programme which enables participants to educate and pass on their knowledge to their local community.

Individuals

Healthy Communities

Our aim is to bring an understanding of good health to our local communities. This initiative equips communities with the knowledge and skills to champion growing and cooking healthy food on a budget.
